US版プリカ購入。
膨大な洋楽の配信数を誇るiTunes Music StoreのUS版。通常日本からは利用できないのですが、US向けのプリペイドカードを輸入販売しているサイトがあるのを知り、嬉々として$20分を購入しました。
数曲は気に入ったナンバーがあるものの、アルバムを買うまでは今ひとつ踏み切れない…という作品が過去に数多くあったわけですが、これで日本のiTMSでは扱っていないアルバムに関しても、気に入ったものだけを手に入れることが出来るようになったわけです。
てなわけで、早速鼻息をハリケーンにしつつ購入したのは、Holly William "The Ones We Never Knew"(2004)から"Sometimes"と"Everybody's Waiting for a Change"の2曲。
とりわけHollyのハスキーヴォイスと静かなアコギ＆ピアノに乗せて「この背徳に満ちた世界で 小さな鳥になれたらと思うの 時々」という言葉が紡がれる"Sometimes"は、毎日の生活の中で、時にポツリと考えてしまうような心の奥にある何かを言い表されているような気がして、強く感じるものがあります。
で、購入ついでに他の曲も試聴しているうちに、どれもいい音に聞こえてきたぞ。このまま行けばアルバム購入だな。わざわざUS用のプリカを買った意味まったくナッシング。
